Yandina Station - what can I say? You're perfect.. Close to the coast but far enough away to only hear the cows not the crowds, Filled with an abundance of vintage and antique pieces, green grass superbly manicured, magnolia trees and an old diary almost frozen in time.
Kellie and Neil's wedding was a gorgeous mixture of vintage, country, homespun, handmade and fun. Thanks to super photog team Matt and Katie for their true documentary style photography that easily plays out a picture perfect outlay of the day's events. never missing the fun, these two photographers were there till the end!
We absolutely loved styling and planning this wedding, thanks to Kellie, Neil and their families for having us as part of their day.

We recently had the pleasure of working alongside Calli B Photography and Mondo Floral Designs for a style shoot in the Maleny hinterland on the Sunshine Coast. The style brief was initially created for the latest edition of Sunshine Coast Brides magazine, however the day was so perfect and the images undeniably fabulous I've decided to use some of the shots for our new website.

Terrianne from Mondo Floral Designs created a soft palette with a punch of purple using blooms such as Honeymoon rose, Kale, white Tulips, pink Thryp, fragrant rosemary, jonquils and purple Hyacinth. A collection of Italian preserving jars were used to reflect the home style feel we created for the tables.

Our gorgeous vintage chandelier suspended from the tree above matched perfectly with the sourdough loaves used as place settings. We wanted to include comfort and luxury in this intimate setting by using rich fabrics such as cashmere throws and french linen lounges.
A great recipe for celebrations has always been food and wine, what better way to enjoy the end of your wedding celebration or rehearsal dinner than with glorious heart warming red wine, delectable cheeses and autumn fruits?
The lounge invites guests to cuddle up with your loved ones and laugh till the end of the night.

I love this style and fell head over heals in love with the location - rolling grass hills, nosy cows, a small lake and a sunsetting to die for. Thanks ladies, the location was perfect!

Cathryn and Callam's beautiful Dior inspired wedding was held on a perfect September day at one of our favourite venues, Sails Restaurant Noosa. Cathryn was a stylish bride who's blush Vera Wang dress almost stole the show! An abundance of florals all in shades of soft pinks and creams were proudly positioned in timeless crystal vases with crystal candle votive's and silver taper candles to finish of the classic look. Handmade chair covers were created for their 'bride & groom' chairs, ghost chairs for the bridal table to add more luxe and a modern flower arrangement suspended over their seating.

A HUGE thank you to Mondo Floral Design who went above and beyond for this amazing wedding, a very big thank you to my team who worked so hard to produce such a massive set up in record time.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Karen Buckle Photography on a stunning late winter afternoon by the lakeside in Noosa. Flowers were just divine and proudly supplied by Bec from Blooms of Noosa. A very close friend played model for me, thank you Dani Petrie, you were perfect! The stunning lace dress was from the stylish girls at Eve Boutique and Dani's hair and makeup both by Deb from Beauty on the Move.
We couldn't have planned for a better afternoon with the gorgeous pink sunset.

I did the math a few days ago and figured out that I had known and worked with Tanya from Chesterton Smith Photography for six years. Now in my small little town that's some serious staying power.
Tanya is a world away from the 'it's all about me' photographer stereotype that good photographers have been portrayed as. She's calm, soft, fun, passionate and most of all in love with you being in love.
You never have to look for the emotion in Tanya's work, it's there on the faces of the people she shoots. In their eyes, in their smiles and in their tears.
Tanya's work is unobtrusive and therefore captures the rawness of a wedding day close up and naturally.

A Candle Lit Affair

Not all couples have a never ending budget to spend on their wedding day and often feel like they are compromising to have a little bit of everything they love to fit in with their style and monetary situation.
I'm a stylist and will always love to add that little extra detail to any event however a good stylists know when to make not much look like something pretty fabulous. We often meet brides who HAVE to have the hard to find David Austin roses in soft antique apricot in their insanely large bouquet and then have little budget left to make their reception look equally show stopping.
A beautiful option is to use an array of various sized candles and votives along a textured fabric table runner to create an intimate, elegant and quite simply stunning table centrepiece.
No one dislikes the soft warm glow of a candle light, all of your guests will feel just Divine whilst dining surrounded by so much elegance.

Not a flower in sight and like these reception tables not a single bloom required.

It's a well known fact by any one who knows me that I pretty much love all varieties of flowers, there's the small dislike for Gerbra's but that's about all. I still gush over a freshly picked Daisy for it's happy disposition and heavily swoon for a David Austin rose for it's heady scent.
So it's safe to say its hard for me to promote any one particular look for bouquets. I am however a huge fan of mono flower bouquets for the brides maids. One singular variety used says so much, it's super stylish and allows the bridesmaids to have a little identity with their chosen flower.

Despite the January floods stopping us from having our gorgeous David Austin Roses and the abundance of white Hydrangea blooms we'd hoped for, the wedding of Alana and Ben Coombes was a beautiful, quintessential Noosa sun shining afternoon with a knock out sunset.
Well over 400 original Mason Jars were used for flowers and candles, while guests dined and danced surrounded by the soft glow of 95 amber candle lights.

Thank you to our team who went well over the call of duty to ensure everything our couple wanted arrived safe and sound in time for the wedding.
Special thanks to the truck drivers of Camerons Freight who got through flood ravaged towns and blocked roads to delivery our special goods with only moments to spare.

I love all my clients and could never choose a favourite or one that is more special than the other however I fell head over heals in love with this couple the minute I first spoke with Melinda. She's full of life, gorgeous, love shoes as much as me and is a treat to be around. James is just as fabulous with his gentle nature, cheeky smile and his obvious love for Melinda.
They celebrated their wedding day with a relaxed lunch wedding at Rickys River Bar + Restaurant and Noosa came to the party with picture perfect weather.

While we wedding folk love weddings all year round and delight in the gorgeous winter weddings made perfect by the cooler midday sun, many of us truly love the change of season to Spring.
The sunsets last longer, flowers are in abundance, the air is warmer and if you look closely everyone has a little more spring in their step now that the sun wakes at a decent hour of the morning.
September, October and November are the busiest times of the year for the wedding industry and although our QLD autumn give these months a run for its money - you really cannot beat the weather in Spring on the Sunshine Coast.

I love September for it's sweet smelling Jasmine flowers, October for the undeniable warmth and perfect champagne drinking weather and November for its peonies (of course!).
Spring means ladies in cocktails dresses and sexy stilettos and men that have a right to toss the suit jacket and rock the shirt no tie look. It means cocktails and garden parties, pre wedding beach swims and long brunches with the girls. When the weather is still kind enough to make coffee drinking a pleasure in the middle of the day, but cool enough to hug your loved one's without sticking to each other.

So for the remaining four days of winter I urge you to snuggle on the couch with your lovers, gulp red wine, buy more cashmere scarves, go to bed early and wear cute flannelet PJ's till 10.00am because as of September 1st its time for Pinot Grigio, fresh flowers in your home, early morning walks on the beach and wedding season!

To all those in the industry, make friends with your local barista - good coffee is the key to your success, take deep breaths and remember to smell the Jasmine.
To all those married to those in the industry, I'm sorry...you will see your loves again but just not till December.

Luxury Soiree

I had a wonderful day yesterday visiting all the fabulous suppliers at the luxury soiree hosted by the stunning estate in Cooroy, The Plantation and Wedding Planner and Director of The Little White Wedding Co. Noosa Food and Wine Festival May 2010

Sunday night 2nd May 2010 - Chef Paul Leete from Sails Restaurant Noosa teamed up with Chef Matt Wilkinson from Circa, The Prince in Melbourne for the Noosa Food and Wine Festival.

We were honoured when Sails Noosa asked us to decorate the venue for the special event and with only a weeks notice before the event our creative minds were running into overdrive. What a divine venue....

Sails' Event Coordinator Melinda Young is a dream to work with and her staff were immensely helpful.

Very special thanks go to Mondo Floral Design for always understanding my vision and supplying gorgeous flowers for the night.Photographer Anastasia K was our one and only choice for our decor photo shoot and as always we're extremely grateful for her talents.

I was an ETZY virgin up unitl a few weeks ago but within that short time frame I'm well and truly obsessed. Kellie and Robbie were a vivacious, happy and fun couple who wanted a relaxed, beachside wedding that wasn't too hung up on traditions or formalities. They both wanted the food and wine to be an important element of the day, for great music and sunset dancing!
Ricky's Restaurant and Bar was the perfect venue for them, offering a delectable a la carte menu, stunning water views and a gorgeous grass courtyard for pre dinner drinks and canapes.
Charming Brisbane photographer, Stephen Henry was requested to capture the day and a close friend did the honors of making their nuptials official with the beach as their backdrop.

It was such a pleasure to be a part of Kellie and Robbie's wedding day. We loved having the opportunity to bring their wedding vision to life.
